Is there a test at the end of CBT training in Fordbridge?
Here at Book CBT Now, we want all of our clients, prospective or otherwise, to understand what CBT training is, what it entails, and why it is so important. Technically speaking, it is not a test - when you complete your CBT training, you will be awarded with a pass certification known as a DL196. You are able to take the CBT course once you have either turned sixteen if you are riding a moped, or seventeen if you are the owner of a motorcycle which is up to 125 cc.
Once you are CBT accredited, you will be able to ride for up to two years; after this, your CBT will have expired, and if you have not by then taken your full motorcycle test, you will be required to re-take. For anyone that is looking to find out more regarding the CBT tests that we source for clients, you can do so on our website.
Is a CBT certificate valid for 2 years?
Once you have completed your CBT training in Fordbridge your certificate will be valid for 2 years. If you carry on with your training and take a full motorcycle test then you will no longer need to renew your CBT. If you dont then you will need to retake your CBT every 2 years. This re-take is called an experienced CBT and some motorcycle training schools will list this as a separate course with different pricing. So if you are booking a CBT for the first time then make sure you book the right one.
When were CBTs introduced?
CBT tests were introduced at the tail-end of 1990 and stands for Compulsory Basic Training. The thinking behind them was to try and reduce the number of motorcycle and moped accidents. Not only this, but it helps in giving people of all different ages a better basic understanding relating how to best control a two-wheeled machine.
