We are a highly-experienced team who have sourced some of the best companies for CBT tests for over 19 years and can ensure that you are always working with qualified professionals who can help with all of your training and tests. We are happy to suggest various other companies across Tyne and Wear for your test or in the surrounding areas of Houghton le Spring, Seaham and Eastington. Completing your 'Compulsory Basic Training' CBT test will allow you to ride any scooter, moped, electric motorbike, 50cc moped or 125cc motorbike of your choice. All you'll need to do is get a provisional UK license, suitable clothing and then book your CBT.
What length of time is a CBT test?
A CBT test can normally be completed in a day, but may take longer if you need more time to master the control of the motorcycle or moped. Knowing how to ride a bicycle will really help, so if you have not ridden one for a while it's a good thing to do before you take your CBT.
Read up on your Highway Code! Make sure you have read the Highway Code thoroughly. You can buy a copy of the Highway code at most bookshops or browse it online using this online link.

Will I be on my own during a CBT?
Normally during a CBT test in Hetton there will be other riders with you, you will all take part in classroom and off-road sections together as well as practical sections. Taking the test in a group is a great way to calm your nerves. The majority of motorcycle training schools will also supply motorcycles for hire during your CBT test in Hetton so you do not need to bring one with you. Sometimes the price of your CBT includes the hire of a motorcycle and sometimes it doesn't, so we always advise that you check this before booking. Here at Book CBT Now we will provide you with the information for all of your local CBT companies and you can then decide which company you wish to use.
Is a CBT certificate valid for 2 years?
Once you have completed your CBT training in Hetton your certificate will be valid for 2 years. If you carry on with your training and take a full motorcycle test then you will no longer need to renew your CBT. If you dont then you will need to retake your CBT every 2 years. This re-take is called an experienced CBT and some motorcycle training schools will list this as a separate course with different pricing. So if you are booking a CBT for the first time then make sure you book the right one.
