Have you been hunting for motorcycle CBT training in Watlington, Oxfordshire?
Have you been on the hunt for a company that can help you organise motorcycle CBT training in Watlington or nearby in Wallingford, Dorchester and Thame? Whilst price is important, the most important factor is the quality of motorcycle training.Book CBT Now has the largest listing of all motorcycle training companies in the UK. Simply enter your postcode and we will show you all of your local training companies that run compulsory basic training. Completing your 'Compulsory Basic Training' CBT test will allow you to ride any scooter, moped, electric motorbike, 50cc moped or 125cc motorbike of your choice. All you'll need to do is get a provisional UK license, suitable clothing and then book your CBT.
Why was Compulstory Basic Training introduced?
The reason that the government has brought in CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) tests in December 1990 was that it wanted to ensure that, before taking to the roads, people of all ages had at least a basic understanding regarding being in control of two-wheeled machines. The knock-on effect of this was to try and reduce the number of collisions involving motorcycles and mopeds. On completion of the evaluation, you shall receive on the day your pass certificate, also known as a DL196.

Is a CBT certificate valid for 2 years?
Once you have completed your CBT training in Watlington your certificate will be valid for 2 years. If you carry on with your training and take a full motorcycle test then you will no longer need to renew your CBT. If you dont then you will need to retake your CBT every 2 years. This re-take is called an experienced CBT and some motorcycle training schools will list this as a separate course with different pricing. So if you are booking a CBT for the first time then make sure you book the right one.
Is CBT a test or an evaluation?
Contrary to popular belief, a CBT is more of an evaluation than a test; your instructor will, throughout the day, observe your abilities and, if you complete the day to the required competency, you shall be awarded a pass certificate (professionally known as a DL196). A CBT certificate is valid for two years and once you have completed your full motorcycle examination, you will no longer have to renew your CBT. However, if you do not carry on your training in Watlington, you will be required to re-sit your CBT test after two years.
